    A quiet afternoon could be disturbed by a barn own playing the piano in the living room, or the smell of coffee as a mossy frog works out the mechanics of an espresso machine. How and what she appeared as was rarely the same; usually an animal, quadruped, always with an adornment of trinkets -- feather, bead & bone -- and always uninvited, but somehow never invasive. As if a stray cat became self-aware and occasionally showed up for tea.

    True form and true name unknown, she presented as a benign and curious entity, known only as what she was: Boggart the boggart. With no visible predictability, it couldn't be 100% certain if the pine marten reading a book in the den was her, but it was safe to assume.
